You forgot he also had to contend with Andrea SILENZI.

I think he was in a similar situation to Ogbonna. He was at the best team in the country and there are unfortunately for him other players that are better than him but that doesn't make him crap. The fact that he was even at Juventus or picked for the national team shows he's actually a great player.

Madrid have lots of players like that too. Very good ones like Isco or Jesé that are great but are not ahead of Bale and Ronaldo etc..
I'm happy to pick the second best stuff from one of the best teams in the world.

He cost 23 million (or whatever it was) and wasn't our first choice. So what do you expect? He gets picked in the international side, came from a club like Juventus and was obviously liked by Bilic n co enough to splash out. All you can do is have some faith and hope he shines for us. He's still young and under a good coach, around good players we may see him blossom.

Zaza played 663 mins in Serie A last season scoring 5

So that's a goal in just under every game and a half

132.6 mins per goal

Di Canio was more than worthy enough to play for Italy - and would've done a large number of time

No he wouldn't even if he wasn't a loony he had baggio and Zola ahead of him

I asked an Italian (Napoli fan) at work if Zaza was any good. He told me honestly he wasn't sure about him - yes he thinks he 'could' be good but has never been given an extended run of starts in a decent team.

Di Canio was more than worthy enough to play for Italy - and would've done a large number of times. His problem was his fall-outs with so many managers and he wasn't popular with the Italian FA either. So he had no chance.

He's a GOD to Lazio fans - and they've had some great players especially over the past 20 years or so. That shows you how good he was.

Zaza - 1 goal for Italy

Messi - 0 for Italy

Suarez - 0 for Italy

My point was Di Canio wasn't even deemed worthy to play for Italy and did a great job for us. I'm not sure what your point is.

Harrison ...15 goals Prem in 33 games

Di Canio 16 Prem in 30 games...

We definitely need a 1goal in 2 games striker....

Go Zaza

Must be John Hartson.

18 league goals or something like that in 97/98.

If Zaza keeps up his scoring average...would he be the highest per season Premier LG scorer for West Ham...???

Anyone know who scored the most Premier LG goals in a season for West Ham ???

.44 goals per 95mins in Serie a or 1 goal every 2.2 full games

Maybe an extended run in a good team will see him flourish, hopefully, those numbers need improving if we are to be fed this prolific line

The headline of this Thread is True, but he does have a lovely beard.

Fingers crossed playmaker son.

Shearer started his career slowly and then exploded, so hopefully the English game and our midfielders will suit him down to the ground, as would be lovely to have a striker scoring consistently.
